Audi explains that the volume flow rates in the cooling system have also been reduced, so the pump requires less power. The standard heat pump uses the heat dissipated from the high voltage battery to heat the interior and in this way, depending on the outside temperature, the autonomy of the Audi e-tron can increase by 10% in real driving conditions .

Thanks to various adjustments, this new version of the Audi e-tron has a recovery system in rank to increase by almost 30% the autonomy of the car. Energy recovery occurs when the driver releases the accelerator (freewheel) or when the brake pedal is depressed. " When braking from a speed of 100 km / h, the Audi e-tron can recover up to 300 Nm of torque and 220 kW of power, which corresponds to more than 70% of its power of operation » explains the constructor.

The standard spoiler and a diffuser at the rear contribute to the aerodynamics, an essential factor to boost the autonomy of a 100% electric model. There is also an imposing double exhaust (no, there we are kidding huh).

Audi said that all models produced recently will benefit from this technical improvement, and that the price of the Audi e-tron 55 quattro remains unchanged in France, with a price of 83,880 euros in entry-level. The first buyers, however, may feel a little wronged …
