Initially expected for this summer, the small Volkswagen ID.3, a 100% electric vehicle, will finally be delivered in September. A new vehicle that promises to " making electro-mobility within the reach of many people". For Volkswagen, the goal is to deliver almost 30,000 pre-orders from the 1ST Special Edition almost all over Europe.
The first Volkswagen ID.3 on the roads in September
From June 17th, it will be possible to deposit a deposit to officially reserve your future ID.3. Customers will be able to choose between two delivery options, either early delivery, either in September, or slightly later delivery, in late 2020.
A choice that matters, since Volkswagen explains: "When launched on the market in September, the App Connect function and the distance function in the head-up display have not yet been activated. " Some users will therefore prefer to wait a few more weeks, in order to be able to take advantage of all the options from the outset. Obviously, a free update will allow those who have recovered their ID.3 from September to have these features too .
For Thomas Ulbrich, member of the Volkswagen brand board of directors: "In recent months, working in the difficult conditions of the pandemic has been a great challenge for the entire ID.3 team. The imminent launch of ID.3 on the market is therefore all the more important ". Recall that Vokswagen recently indicated how its ID.3 was “Cheaper than comparable internal combustion models. "
Recall that the 1st Edition of the Volkswagen ID.3 will have a 58 kWh battery, with an electric motor which generates a power of 150 kW, for a torque of 310 Nm. A version offered at less than 40,000 euros on the German market, while the declination "Plus" will be displayed for its part from 45,000 euros. Finally, the premium version "Max" will offer plenty of options, for a price below 50,000 euros.
