A few days ago, the American Ford formalized the name “Lightning” for its future 100% electric pickup, inspired by the timeless F-150. Indeed, after the Mach-E, derived from the Mustang, Ford has decided to take its legendary F-150 pick-up, a true star across the Atlantic, as a model to develop its new zero-emission vehicle.
When Joe Biden unveils the Ford F-150 Lighting
An F-150 Lightning pickup that was the star of a recent speech by US President Joe Biden. Indeed, while traveling in Michigan, the President of the United States held a speech, against the backdrop of various Ford vehicles, the speech having taken place at Ford’s Rouge Electric Vehicle Center.

Among the various models exhibited behind the American president, there were vintage vehicles, more modern cars… but also the all new F-150 Lightning! Indeed, it is impossible not to see the impressive silhouette of this future 100% electric vehicle from Ford.
During his speech, Joe Biden said in particular: “The future of the automotive industry is electric. There is no going back“. The president also wished to reaffirm his desire to see manufacturers assemble their future vehicles in the United States. A small picnic addressed to General Motors, which has already announced that it wants to manufacture certain vehicles in Mexico… but also to Ford, whose current Mach-E is manufactured in this same country.
Recall that in the United States, the Ford F-150 is a pick-up particularly popular with motorists, since it has sold millions of copies, and has known no less than 13 generations since its first launch in 1948.
