Renault deploys its ZITY service
Renault is proud to announce the availability of 500 ZOE electric vehicles, which are available for rental 24/7, via the ZITY service. Availability reserved for intra-muros Paris and Clichy, which will allow users to reserve, use and return a Renault ZOE, via a simple mobile application.
Renault promises that the entry into service of this offer, announced in March and suspended due to containment measures, will be carried out in full compliance with the recommendations of the national sanitary protocol for leaving containment defined by the Ministry of Transport. Via the ZITY mobile application, users can view the vehicle closest to their position on a map, at all hours of the day and night.
The vehicle is unlocked directly via the application, and the user only has to park the vehicle in Paris, on any public place on the surface, and lock the vehicle, to end the rental. In terms of prices, you can opt for the price per minute (0.29 €), but you can also benefit from Time Packages (24h: 35 €, 48h: 55 €…). Renault ZITY also offers pricing "Stand-by" allowing the vehicle to be stored at a preferential cost of € 0.13 / minute for short-term parking.
Batteries monitored from a distance and improved hygiene measures
On the battery side, Renault has developed a system which allows all information from the dashboard to be reported in real time. Thus, below the minimum level required, the vehicle is no longer available for hire and is quickly taken in hand by ZITY teams to ensure recharging.
For Gilles Normand, Director of Electric Vehicles and Mobility Services Division: “In the context of the current health crisis and major environmental challenges, we are all the more convinced of the interest of offering Parisians a complementary mobility solution respecting a strict health protocol: both electric, self-service, but also accessible and more sustainable to help fight air pollution and global warming. "
On the health side, Renault indicates that the ZITY teams are equipped with protective masks and will comply with strict hygiene measures when picking up and removing vehicles. Each vehicle will be subject to disinfectant cleaning, and Renault recommends that users wear a mask during their journey and wash their hands before and after each use.
