Last May, Harley Davidson announced that its LiveWire electric motorcycle would become a brand in its own right. In this way, all the electric motorcycles of the American giant will be offered under the name LiveWire. As a result, LiveWire will have dedicated showrooms, but also a head office or dedicated development centers.
LiveWire: a new One motorcycle for July
After launching its LiveWire electric motorcycle in 2019, the Harley Davidson group is preparing the rest, with a second model that will be made official on July 8. A second model which will therefore be the first to be officially offered by the new LiveWire brand, and which will be called LiveWire One.
“LiveWire benefits from all of Harley-Davidson’s engineering expertise, manufacturing footprint, supply chain infrastructure and global logistics capabilities ” explains the American brand.
In all likelihood, this new electric motorcycle should have a power of 75 kW, with performance which should therefore be equivalent to that of the LiveWire of 2019. We should therefore be able to spin up to around 180 km / h, and s ” free from 0 to 100 km / h in 3 seconds. At present, however, it is impossible to know precisely the technical sheet of this new model to come.
However, we will have to wait a few more days to find out everything about this new LiveWire electric motorcycle, and if the performance is beyond doubt, it remains to be seen whether Harley Davidson has had the good idea to review the price of its motorcycle. Indeed, despite undeniable qualities, the group’s first electric motorcycle was offered at a very (too) high price. Knowing that the ambition of the LiveWire brand is also to attract new customers, it would be fashionable for the brand to offer its new motorcycle at a less prohibitive price …
