A few months ago, Citroën launched its (very) small electric car Ami. Today, the French manufacturer is trying to seduce professionals, with this same Friend, remodeled in “Cargo“. The new My Ami Cargo is indeed “an innovative electric delivery solution, full of cunning, combining all the benefits of Ami with a total useful volume of over 400 liters and a payload of 140 kg“.
The Friend of Citroën also in Cargo mode (for the pros)
Thus, this Cargo version of the small Citroën Ami naturally retains this atypical look, with nevertheless a completely redesigned interior. Indeed, the passenger area has been transformed into a 260-liter storage space that can accommodate a payload of 140 kg, obtained by replacing the passenger seat with a modular and protected box made up of 7 polypropylene partitions.
“My Ami Cargo provides an ingenious response to the new challenges of professionals expressing a need to transport objects in a smart, functional, electric and economical vehicle. It provides a practical and modular loading volume, while benefiting from an electric mobility solution, agile, safe, with a unique character. It is a vehicle that provides a concrete answer for the delivery of the last mile and in particular of small parcels, the number of which has grown exponentially in recent months.”Explains Laurence Hanson, Product Director at Citroën.
There is thus a partition wall between the driver and the loading area, a modular shelf capable of supporting 40 kg, a flat floor adjustable on two levels, not to mention a closed and independent storage at the rear.
Obviously, this little Citroën My Ami Cargo also retains its electric character. Its 5.5 kWh lithium-ion battery can be recharged from a simple 220V household outlet in just 3 hours as easily as a smartphone. It has a range of up to 75 km and has a 6 kW motor that can drive at the maximum speed of 45 km / h.
