Like many other manufacturers, Citroën is continuing its electric offensive in 2020, and has just officialized a new model: the ë-C4. According to the manufacturer, this is "A completely new, compact new generation sedan that is shaking up the codes of the segment, adding all the Citroën identity. "
The Citroën C4 plays the electric card
Citroën is formal, the manufacturer is preparing its strong return to the sedan market. This will be reflected in 2020 by the launch of the new Citroën C4, a model which will be available in thermal version (petrol and diesel therefore), but also in version "Electric" ! For Citroën, it is therefore the same car, offered in three different energies, to allow customers to choose the efficient and effective engine that best meets their needs. A bit like Peugeot, with the new 208 finally.
Slightly raised, the new Citroën C4 offers a silhouette that aims to combine the elegance and dynamism of a sedan, while subtly adopting certain codes of the SUV. At present, the manufacturer has not wanted to reveal all the technical characteristics of this model, and Citroën should provide more details on June 30.
However, in all likelihood, this Citroën ë-C4 should adopt an engine similar to that on board the Peugeot e-2008, namely an electric block of 100 kW, the equivalent of 136 hp. Everything should work from 50 kWh batteries, with an average autonomy which should flirt with the 300 km.
This new electric car "Made in Citroën" is expected to arrive in dealerships by the end of the year. It remains to be seen which price has chosen the French manufacturer for this ë-C4. Still a few weeks to wait before knowing everything.
