The iPhone SE has been synonymous with success for Apple. The Cupertino company could well put the cover this year with a new model. A leaker speaks of a release in the second half of 2021 and the presence of an A14 processor.

The iPhone SE isn’t exactly a thunderbolt, or even an attractive smartphone on paper. However, it had its small success thanks to a canon price. Indeed, it offers the Apple experience to less than 500 euros (minimum price). A new improved version could arrive this year, according to a leaker.

@Aaple_lab claims that the iPhone SE Plus would be in the boxes at Apple. Like its predecessor, it would adopt the brand’s “old” format, with Touch ID included directly in the Home button.

An A14 processor in the program

He also claims that he would benefit a 6.1-inch IPS screen, a notable enlargement compared to the first model, which has a 5.2 inch panel. The intriguing thing here is the fact that the smartphone would be equipped with an A14 processor, which is the same as the iPhone 12. A figure that is not really far-fetched, given that the iPhone SE released in 2020 had an A13 Bionic processor. The terminal would be certified IP67.

Other details are given by @Aaple_labn such as the presence of a single 12-megapixel photo sensor as well as a 7-megapixel selfie sensor. He even risks giving the colors of the product – white, black, red – as well as its price: around 589 euros.

A credible technical sheet, but it is too early to say anything. This leaker is however not the first to speak of a new model of iPhone SE. The famous analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had previously indicated that Apple had every chance of releasing a successor in 2021. A smartphone that is certainly not equipped with the latest innovations from Apple, but which has the merit of being sold at a discounted price to attract crowds.

Recall that Apple presented its new iPhone 12 range a few months ago. The iPhone 12 Mini, the cheapest in the line-up, did not meet with the expected success, in particular because of its screen size of 5.4 inches. This could explain the desire of Apple to offer an iPhone SE Plus with a larger screen.
