Electronic Arts formalizes today the nomadic version of Apex Legends, which will respond to the sweet name of Apex Legends Mobile. Like a Call of Duty Mobile or a Fortnite, to name a few, this version dedicated to our smartphones and tablets has been specially designed for touch screens, with simplified controls and dedicated optimizations.
Apex Legends also launches in mobile version
With Apex Legends Mobile, Electronic Arts wishes to offer a brand new game, while obviously remaining faithful to the original opus. A distinction which means that the two versions of Apex Legends (Mobile and classic) will not allow you to play in cross-play, as is the case with other games.
The first regional beta tests of this new Apex Mobile Legends will begin later this month, and promise to “mark the dawn of a new era of Battle Royale on mobile devices“. The restricted beta will initially affect a few thousand players in India and the Philippines, before being rolled out over the next few months in more territories.
Obviously, EA does not intend to abandon the console and PC versions of Apex Legends in favor of this future Mobile version, and players will be able to continue to enjoy regular updates, with of course new content to come. Electronic Arts also released a new trailer a few hours ago concerning “History of the Wilderness“, With availability set for May 4.
Remember also that the game Apex Legends made its appearance on Nintendo Switch a few weeks ago now. It took more than two years to see the game from Respawn Entertainment tumble on the Nintendo hybrid console.
