After many years of waiting, Sony’s console has been available for many months now (for the lucky few who have managed to buy a console despite the stock shortages). The latest PlayStation still manages to achieve sales records paying the luxury of exceed PS4 sales figures over the same period. A rather incredible success which should not run out of steam in the weeks and months to come.

25 games exclusive to the PS5 in development!
Interviewed by Wired magazine a few days ago, Hermen Hulst, president of SIE Worldwide Studios, returned to Sony’s strategy. Since the PS3 generation (from 2007), the firm has specialized in the development of its First-Party studios to produce high quality games exclusive to PlayStation consoles. Uncharted, The Last Of Us, inFamous, God of War, Horizon, Ratchet & Clank or even Marvel’s Spider-Man, the list is long around the real masterpieces developed by Sony studios. All the titles manage to sell millions of copies, also making it possible to sell many consoles.
Hermen Hulst announces that PlayStation Studios are currently developing 25 exclusive games for the PS5, half of which will be new licenses. Of course, given the number of projects underway, it is not just big triple A blockbusters. The president of SIE Worldwide Studios specifies that big games, small ones, and games of different genres are in development.
Unfortunately, Hulst doesn’t give more details so we can’t know which ten to twelve sequels are in the works. Although we already know that Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Horizon Forbidden West, God of War Ragnarök and a remake of The Last Of Us are in the works.
Regarding the next Horizon, Sony and Guerrilla Games are organizing a State of Play Thursday evening at 11 p.m. to discover 14 minutes of gameplay and probably the release date of the title.
