While we are still awaiting further information regarding Sony’s plans for the first year of its PlayStation 5 and PS5 Digital Edition, including release dates for games like Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Gran Turismo 7, Kena Bridge of Spirits, God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Forbidden West which are all five expected for this year 2021.

After revealing a release period for certain games in January during CES 2021, Sony did a little backpedaling by removing a few dates when posting this video to Sony’s official YouTube channel.

In the meantime, we learn that a lot of PlayStation’s First-Party studios appear to be working on big projects for the PS5 that have yet to be announced.

Finally, we have the Sumo Digital studio (which is not a Sony First-Party) which is working on two games. At this time, it’s impossible to know whether the studio is developing games for the PS5 and / or the Xbox Series X given that Sumo Digital has worked on both Sony and Microsoft consoles in the past.

The first job posting is for an open-world triple A game that would be a continuation of an already existing license. The studio is therefore looking for a Senior Game Designer as well as specialists in the gameplay and the story of this well-known license. The second project concerns an online oriented third person shooter.

As a reminder, Sumo Digital was founded in 2003. The studio has been able to work on many projects in 18 years, such as opus from the Toca Race Driver series, many Sonic games, Forza Horizon or even LittleBigPlanet. The offer does not specify if the projects are PS5 exclusives, Xbox or cross-platform games.
