Launched for the first time in September 2013 on PS3 and Xbox 360, GTA V has enjoyed exceptional longevity since not content to sell in the millions on this generation, the game has also broken all records on the PS4 / Xbox One generation. On the side of Rockstar Games, in the absence of GTA VI, we will therefore re (re) launch GTA V, this time on our Xbox Series X and PS5 which still smell like new.
GTA V: Xbox Series X and PS5 versions dated November 11!
Indeed, in September 2020, Sony’s PS5 Showcase opened with a particularly unexpected game: GTA V. Rockstar Games indeed confirmed an updated version of its game, to take advantage of the brand new power of the PS5, but also of the Xbox Series X. Long decked out in a wave “launch in 2021“, GTA V now has a firm and final release date of November 11, 2021.
It is on this date that we can therefore dive back into the heart of Los Santos in the company of Trevor, Michael and Franklin. Of course, if the PS4 / Xbox One version already showed improvements over the 2013 game, this future version promises new visual optimizations, new features and reduced loadings.
On the side of Rockstar, the bet is all the same to pass for “new“, A game initially launched in 2013, an eternity in the world of video games. A GTA V which will therefore experience a third video game career, being adapted on a third generation of consoles. You can also find our expectations for this “new” GTA V at this address.
Indeed, as it prepares to celebrate its eighth anniversary, GTA V is still in the top ranking of the best sellers every month and every year. It is also incidentally one of the most anticipated titles on PS5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and should allow Rockstar Games to sell a few million more copies, and to leave a little time before unveil the next GTA VI. Note that in October we will celebrate the twentieth anniversary of another cult game, namely GTA III.
