Montblanc is the first watchmaker to launch a Wear OS connected watch with the new Snapdragon Wear 3100 chip. This small motor, unveiled by Qualcomm in September, will spread among several manufacturers, including Fossil, Louis Vuitton, and Montblanc.
Apart from this new chip, the Summit 2 ships 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage (the double of the previous generation for each of these specifications), a GPS, the NFC, a heart rate monitor. There is a 1.2-inch circular screen protected by sapphire crystal in a unisex 42mm case (14.3mm thick).
Around the steel case (a titanium declination is also available) take place two programmable pushbuttons and a crown. The battery is good for a week in "time" mode, ie with only the basic functions – a feature enabled by the new Snapdragon.
The bracelets of the Summit 2 are interchangeable, Montblanc offers a dozen to 160 € each. The watch itself is marketed from € 1,290.
