The descent into hell continues for CD Projekt Red and CyberPunk 2077 since the game was released on December 10 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. We do not count the number of problems around the game because of the many lies from the Polish studio. Anger of the players, withdrawal of sales of the game on the PlayStation Store, immediate refund of all PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game for unhappy players without justification and numerous complaints from investors or the Polish government!
Today, two new complaints are filed by a US law firm that has already filed a class action lawsuit against CD Projekt on behalf of the investors who have backed the studio. The complaints accuse CD Projekt of deliberately lying with false claims about the PS4 and Xbox One versions considered “perfectly playable” when this was far from the case.
CD Projekt Red will defend itself vigorously
It is in a press release published on its official website that CD Projekt has announced that they have taken into account the complaint, which is the same as the one received at the end of December. The firm does not intend to give in to the pressure and intends to take vigorous action to defend itself.
The Management of CD PROJEKT SA with its head office in Warsaw announces by this press release that it has received confirmation from a law firm cooperating with the Company that a second civil class action has been filed in the United States District Court of the Central District of California by a law firm acting on behalf of a group of holders of securities traded in the United States […] The content of the complaint, including its subject and scope, are the same as that disclosed by the Company in the current report 68/2020 of December 25, 2020.
The complaint does not specify the amount of damages sought.
The Company will take vigorous action to defend itself against such claims.
As a reminder, the management of CD Projekt (finally) apologized last week for the catastrophic launch of CyberPunk 2077. Big patches should arrive by the end of the month and in February to make the PS4 and Xbox One versions finally. playable.
