Yesterday evening was the big event of E3 2021 and the Summer Game Fest, but also one of the most important meetings of the month in the world of Gaming. Microsoft was organizing its Xbox – Bethesda conference, which was eagerly awaited after some very disappointing first conferences. In just a few minutes, Microsoft has folded the E3 by offering a very well paced conference, but above all extremely controlled with very nice announcements, fairly close release dates and a Game Pass still present and effective!

For those who did not have the chance to experience the event live, here is a summary of the main announcements to remember from this Xbox – Bethesda Showcase from June 2021!

Starfield as an introduction to the Xbox show

  • Release Date: November 11, 2022

Microsoft begins its meeting strong with the first official Starfield teaser. Unveiled at E3 2018 with a very short video to unveil the logo, Starfield returns in a first video. Alas, no gameplay, just a cutscene from the game’s graphics engine and a date: November 11, 2022 on PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S!

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl

Second announcement of the evening, the gameplay video for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl which will arrive on PC and next-gen in April 2022 (with a console exclusive on Xbox). The opportunity to discover gameplay with really nice graphics!

Jack Sparrow in Sea of Thieves!

Have you ever heard of Captain Jack Sparrow?
Microsoft made arguably the biggest (free) expansion announcement of E3 with the arrival of Pirates of the Caribbean in a Sea of Thieves campaign! Following an agreement with Disney, the two universes will meet from next week for a result that promises to be quite enjoyable!

12 Minutes is date on Xbox and PC!

  • Release Date: August 19, 2021

This was one of the great announcements from previous Xbox showcase. But the game has been a little discreet in recent months. It comes back with a nice surprise at E3 to unveil its release date set for August 19 on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S… Day one Game Pass!

Somerville from the creators of Limbo & Inside

The creators of the excellent Limbo and Inside games return with their new game: Somerville. A game that promises to be just as impactful and striking as the previous ones, an adventure game featuring a family and their dog which will arrive in 2022 and directly on the Game Pass!

Halo… A disturbing return?

  • Release Date: End of 2021

After the huge cold shower of last year and its postponement of one year in the wake, Halo was back last night at the Xbox / Bethesda conference. Unfortunately, this comeback does not really reassure us. On the solo side, we had the right to a new trailer (very nice) but no gameplay. On the multiplayer side, we had the right to a trailer with some pre-rendered gameplay sequences but nothing too breathtaking. For the release date? Another shy “Holidays 2021” which seems to indicate that nothing is certain yet on the side of 343 Industries.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

The big surprise of the evening, it comes from the French studio (of Bordeaux) Asobo which announces A Plague Tale: Requiem the continuation of the ”excellentA Plague Tale Innoncence which will arrive in 2022 on PC and next-gen with a release directly in Game Pass for Xbox consoles!

Microsoft Flight Simulator gets its date on Xbox

  • Release Date: July 27, 2021

We stay with the French from Asobo to talk about the French game of the year 2020: Microsoft Flight Simulator. After a PC release last August, the game is finally taking a date on consoles and will land on July 27 on next-gen. Obviously, the Xbox One version is canceled. As a bonus? A free Top Gun expansion coming later this year!

Age of Empire IV takes a date on PC

Age of Empire IV has a new trailer to unveil its release date set for October 28 on PC!

The Outer Worlds 2 surprise

The continuation of the very good The Outer Worlds is in development! It is through a very well brought-forward announcement trailer that Microsoft unveils this sequel to this RPG which, however, has no release date!

Forza Horizon 5: Direction Mexico

  • Release Date: November 9, 2021

So the rumors were true! In addition to working on Fable, Playground Games was at work on Forza Horizon 5 which is coming to PC, Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One on November 9, 2021 and god it’s beautiful. Playground proves that yes, we can obviously do cross-platform development and make a real next-gen game (so be careful, we don’t know what that will give on Xbox One). But that the trailer (and the gameplay) are incredible and it makes you want. And the best? Is that it happens in only 5 months!

The one more thing Xbox: Red Fall

The final announcement of the evening is Arkane Austin’s new game! Red Fall is an open world FPS game (playable in co-op) in which you will fight vampiric creatures. A game planned for PC and Xbox Series X / S soon!

The big absentees?

On the absence side, we will of course note Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga (announced at the Game Awards 2019), Fable (logical absence with Forza Horizon 5), Perfect Dark, Tunis or even Awowed. We hope to have news of his games soon even if we will already have a lot of things to do in the coming months!
